Judgement

Today was pretty much a crazy day, considering i had CAT class in the afternoon. I am really thinking of dropping that course, its damn boring and furthermore, the prof isnt that great either. arggg....

but the program after class was great. met up with claire before she leaves for the UK, it was pretty funny how we appreciate or take notice of things only when we're detached from it. Walking down the smu concourse to having the daily favourites such at ice milo, crushed milo from Delights@SOA to kaya toast at pick & bite.... guess these are stuff that i will miss too if i was leaving smu as well. It was great as we also met justin(also going overseas!) and had a great laugh over tea and what else? kaya toast.

i'm sure they will do us proud in the foreign institutions. and that means more friends to drop by when i go to europe next time! :)

wicked aura's coming your way....

finally got my hands on the wicked aura album.... went to the album launch at zouk last night and i must say the performance by the band is as explosive and powerful as expected....

Convocation today brought back many good memories, entering smu, making new friends, the crazy workload, gpa, samba, exams blah blah blah. but its been a good 1st yr. In two days time, 2nd yr will begin... so lets hope its gonna be even better!

one life u got to do what u shld

...... its back to school again after a loooooooong summer break.

So many things have happened over the past 4 months, samba, friends, personal issues, money, jobs etc etc etc etc and more etc. More importantly, the amount of updates i've been doing to this blog is seriously atrocious.

More importantly having heard the news that one of my friends is quitting sch to go overseas on scholarship probably made me think twice about my own education. With all these smart ppl ard me(if not more hardworking), sometimes really gets me down with all these gpa comparisons.

And not mentioning ppl ard me are mostly dean's lists holders. But honestly, i think i came into smu with a different mindset. Not one of achieving academically, but also achieving a more holistic lifestyle balancing both academic, technical skills and also lifestyle. So far, i been doing it pretty well. Getting a good circle of friends, not just studying like a mad dog with no life, woo hooooooo.

it's a beautiful day.

yeahyeahyeah X3

whoa.. it was a good decision to keep the time after europe free, been real busy with freshmen camps such as BONDUE and also performances for FTB & Convocation.... Also got some free time to do the things i really enjoy: photography, videography and also maintaining websites.

Even though i may be back from europe.... the job's not over yet. Now i have to settle the post-trip marketing material plus some external comms with our new friends from the region.

With some members of Arco Iris, a samba group from cambridge.

woo hoo its back to doing stuff...see u guys in abit. oh i have also updated the pics from europe into the samba website. so do head over to check it out :)

Updates

Hi everyone,

I am currently in London and tomorrow I will be heading to Rome. I have just attended the Drogheda Samba Festival in Ireland and it was great blasting away to other Samba Bands and the Irish as well, not forgetting also the great Guinness Beer.

London was equally good as well with the enthusiastic kids at Norwood School and also the great Samba Music classes by instructors from the London School Of Samba and also a Samba Dance workshop.

Apologies for not updating this blog more often, schedule has been very packed. However, you can check out SAMBA MASALA SWING: IRELAND & LONDON for more details as that was a live blog that i updated for the band while we were in Ireland. London's internet access is not so great as Ireland thus that explains why there were so few entries.

Anyway i am off to the palace for the change of guards now.... feeling kinda tired with all these traveling but i still have about a week more in europe to enjoy... so see you soon!

Greetings from Ireland!

Hello everyone! I have safely reached Ireland but it was not without hiccups. Firstly, our SQ flight had a faulty air-conditioning unit, thus for the whole journey, the air was pretty stale in my cabin!

And then when we reached Heathrow Airport, we missed out connecting flight to Ireland due to some lousy planning by the tour agency!

Anyway with all that out of the way, i am now typing away happily(but very tired) from the desk of my room at Drogheda, Ireland. 24hrs spent traveling.... i'm off to bed!
